Attorneys
We represent only policyholders. For decades, our attorneys have been at the forefront of the field of insurance recovery. We also have unmatched expertise in insurance issues relating to mass tort bankruptcies, representing corporate debtors, claimant committees and bankruptcy trusts.
We do not rush to litigation; we help you decide whether to pursue recovery, whether the return on investment is worthwhile, and whether there are more effective methods of managing your risk.
When litigation is the best option, we move quickly and obtain top-dollar recoveries. Our attorneys have represented corporate policyholders and individuals in arbitration, administrative proceedings and state and federal courts to obtain insurance coverage for a range of liabilities, including:
- asbestos
- pharmaceuticals
- breast implants
- medical devices
- food products
- aircraft
- product liability claims
- natural disasters and catastrophic environmental damages
- property damage
- environmental cleanup
- clergy abuse
- directors' and officers' liability
- disability
- professional liability
- residual value coverage
- construction defects
Our clients include large and small companies, Fortune 25 corporations and industries, as well as municipalities, non-profit organizations and individuals. Our representations have included the following:
- In a landmark decision, we obtained a decision that a class of over 20,000 individuals with asbestos-related injuries could recover potentially unlimited amounts under insurance policies issued to a now-defunct insulation contractor.
- Our attorneys litigated and secured nearly half a billion dollars of insurance proceeds for a bankrupt company facing massive liabilities arising from its installation of asbestos-containing products.
- Our attorneys recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for a bankruptcy trust that had succeeded to the liabilities and insurance assets of a bankrupt building materials company.
- After weeks of arbitration, our attorneys recovered a nine-figure sum in residual value insurance coverage for a large automobile leasing company.
- Using a combination of mediation, arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts, our attorneys recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance coverage for an insulation contractor as part of a pre-packaged bankruptcy reorganization that extinguished the contractor's asbestos-related liabilities.
- In another pre-packaged bankruptcy, our attorneys likewise succeeded in resolving the client's insurance disputes on highly favorable terms.
- Our attorneys have secured hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer that faced liabilities for medical devices, asbestos and environmental cleanup.
