GHR Receives Pro Bono Award

October 7, 2004

Mark Packman accepted the 2004 Distinguished Service Award from the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium (NAPALC). This was in recognition of the outstanding pro bono work provided to NAPALC by Mark Packman, Jonathan Cohen, Elizabeth Feinberg, Robert Taylor, Michael Sebold, Filomena D'Elia, and the incredible support they had from many others. GHR filed a series of amicus briefs before the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. In these briefs, GHR helped secure affirmative action in government contracts (Adarand v. Mineta) and in the law school admissions process (Grutter v. Bollinger). Congratulations to Mark, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Robert, Michael, and Filomena for this award, and for the success they delivered for NAPALC and its important mission.
