Washington, D.C. – Gilbert LLP has announced that Barry I. Buchman, a former associate and partner at the firm, has returned as a partner. Mr. Buchman will specialize in complex civil litigation and dispute resolution, focusing primarily on representing corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes.
A talented litigator who peers describe as a rising star in the policyholder bar, Mr. Buchman has handled a wide variety of cases and also has developed a specialty representing companies in the automotive industry. At Gilbert LLP, Mr. Buchman will continue his work on behalf of automotive industry clients, including an auto parts manufacturer and a technology company that primarily services auto dealers.
“We’re extremely delighted to have Barry back at Gilbert LLP,” said Scott Gilbert, founder and chairman of the law firm. “Peers describe him as a rising star in the insurance litigation space and that’s mainly because he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to client representation.”
Before returning to Gilbert LLP, Mr. Buchman practiced at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, where he successfully represented a FORTUNE 100 company in massive litigation over coverage for hundreds of thousands of underlying mass tort claims.
“Being back at Gilbert LLP is like coming home,” said Buchman. “I am not only excited to be here but also very eager to do everything that I can to help take our practice to the next level.”
