Eight-Figure Settlement From D&O Insurers On Behalf Of Telecommunications Company Facing Securities Class Actions

We successfully represented a large telecommunications company that was facing multiple securities class actions following its Initial Public Offering (“IPO”), ultimately securing settlements totalling eight figures with its Directors and Officers (“D&O”) insurers.  The shareholder plaintiffs claimed that the company had misreported its financial performance before the IPO.  We were able to help the client achieve a global resolution of the lawsuits by convincing its insurers, who initially raised numerous significant coverage defenses, to fund the vast majority of the global underlying settlement.
