Aisha Williams joined Gilbert LLP as an associate in March 2010.  Her practice focuses on insurance and intellectual property matters.  Aisha has represented policyholder clients in the context of insurance settlements with domestic and foreign insurers.  She has represented domestic and foreign corporate clients in intellectual property and insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts.  She also has represented domestic and foreign corporate clients in the media, life sciences, and cosmetics industries in the context of mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property licensing agreements, content and media agreements, and privacy agreements. 

Aisha's representative engagements include:

  • Successful representation of client in obtaining one of the largest individual copyright infringement awards in United States history in trade secrets misappropriation and copyright and trademark infringement action.
  • Representing multiple corporate insureds in the automotive, mining and industrial manufacturing industries regarding recovery of insurance assets in settlement context.
  • Representing corporate insured in the mining industry in federal and state litigation regarding recovery of insurance assets.
  • Representing pharmaceutical clients in ANDA patent litigation and trademark litigation matters.
  • Representing electronic manufacturer clients in Section 337 patent litigation matter.
  • Representing cosmetics manufacturer client in intellectual property licensing matter.
  • Representing media and pharmaceutical industry clients in intellectual property licensing matters.

Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Aisha was an associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C.

Pro Bono

Aisha also has an active pro bono practice.  Most recently, she has represented adoption petitioners in two trials resulting in favorable judgments and represented a client in an administrative hearing resulting in a favorable judgment.
