Devon joined Gilbert LLP as an associate in December 2009.

Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Devon was a litigator with a large DC firm.  In that capacity she represented domestic, foreign, and sovereign clients in federal court.  Her experience includes defending clients in complex litigation involving the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act and act of state doctrine, as well as litigation related to alleged international cartel activity.

Devon has an active pro bono practice.  She successfully litigated a landlord-tenant dispute in D.C. Superior Court, helped a transgender immigrant from El Salvador attain asylum in the United States, helped a domestic violence victim win full custody of her child, and was part of a team of attorneys that successfully represented a sexual harassment claimant in the District Court for the District of Columbia.

Noteworthy

In law school, Devon won the Hinton Moot Court Competition in brief writing and oral argument.
