Immediately prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Kathleen was a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of the Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. From 2006-2008, Kathleen was a litigator with an Arizona firm. Kathleen represented clients in personal injury, wrongful death, and products-liability cases in both federal and state courts. She also served as appellate counsel for clients and other attorneys in various types of cases. Prior to entering private practice, Kathleen served as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. Canby on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Neil V. Wake on the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
As an associate at Gilbert LLP, Kathleen's practice focuses on complex litigation. Representative matters include:
- Representing a company who was the only designer and producer in the world of certain industrial products against corporations based in Dubai and China for misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright and trademark infringement
- Representing a class of plaintiffs against an
insurance company for breach of the terms of life insurance policies, among
other claims
