Gabriel joined Gilbert LLP as an associate in September 2007. A majority of his practice includes seeking recovery from insurance companies on behalf of corporate policyholders, trust created under section 524(g) of the Bankruptcy Code, and individuals on a pro bono basis. Examples of recent matters includes:
- representation of a pharmaceutical company in an alternative dispute resolution proceeding involving multiple insurers;
- litigation seeking insurance recovery for asbestos-related liabilities on behalf of a 524(g) trust;
- negotiations on behalf of a 524(g) trust for liabilities arising from various mass torts; and
- advising corporations regarding the placement of insurance portfolios.
Gabriel also has worked on matters touching a number of different fields, including bankruptcy, qui tam actions, and class actions.
